Things I Wish I Could Tell Fictional Characters

Things I Wish I Could Tell Fictional Characters

We’ve all been through it, wishing some book characters could hear us because they’re being dumb. This post is dedicated to those moments. I’m finally breaking my silence!!!

I’m gonna begin with the most obvious one. Alina, my darling, you deserve someone who loves you, someone who is worthy of you. You deserve someone, literally ANYONE, except Mal.

Branwen, how can you be attracted to a man named TANTRIS? T a n t r i s. Honestly, it reminds me so much of a praying mantis. I’m so sorry for what you had to see at the end of the book.

Is being queen really worth having tentacles? 😦 Tentacles are slimy and hard to manage because you have 8! As for a mermaid tail, it’s just one pretty mermaid tail. No suction cups!

Kay, I know you’re part of the Mean Girls clique but right now you are Cady Heron. You know who Regina George is, except in this scenario she’s a murderer. Don’t trust her, boo.

A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #3.1)

Tamlin I know you might be feeling so down and you’re thinking nothing is worth living for, but this isn’t the end of the road for you. Get up, do better, and be better. You deserve love as well. I can’t wait to read your redemption arc. I’ll be cheering for you when it comes.

Wrong in All the Right Ways: A Novel

Keegan, run as far as you can from Emma!!!! She’s playing you!!!!!!!!

The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2)

Hurry up and get in my hands. I want you. I will treat you like a king. I will love you until the end of my days. Please love me back (and send me an ARC copy)

A short post, I know. But these are some things that I really just want to tell some fictional characters (but alas, I can’t because… duh).

  1. Alina, honey, you don’t need ANYONE, especially Mal. Like, I thought back when I first read this book that the Darkling was the one. Now that I went back and read this, I still like him but whoa boy, maybe not so much because damn. Mal, though? He still annoys the crap out of me.

Tentacles might not be so bad. I mean, sure, it might take some time to get used to, but I think there’s a lot more power in them than one tail. Then again, I didn’t like To Kill a Kingdom, so I’m sure there are other things I could yell at that book (JUST RIP HIS HEART OUT ALREADY!!).
