GET READY TO BE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE I ONLY READ 3 BOOKS THIS MONTH THANKS TO UNIVERSITY
Nyxia by Scot Reintgen
Rating: 4/5 stars
A sci-fi book that mixes The Hunger Games and Divergent. I had a wonderful time reading this book with its scientific space adventure. To add to that, Nyxia had A+ representation!
Brooding YA Hero: Becoming a Main Character (Almost) as Awesome as Me by Carrie DiRisio
Broodie McHottiepants has got to be one of the funniest metafictional characters I’ve come across. The writing is funny, there is a simple plot within this “guide book,” and it’s an overall good read if you want to laugh and see how stereotypical YA books really are!
One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake
Maaaaan I really tried to get an ARC copy of this and I’m so glad I got it! As expected, this book delivered on juicy action and great plot development. Changing allegiances isn’t an uncommon thing to do when reading this book because this is when we start to see who’s worthy of our support.
As disappointed as I am with August’s turnout, I like to think that three books is better than zero books! Here’s to hoping that school lightens up and lets me read more books!
