Books Worth Rereading

books worth rereading

If you’ve been following my Goodreads updates, you’ll notice that it’s filled with rereads of the same books/series every now and then. I decided to make a list of those books and add a short reason why I love rereading them so much!

Cress and Winter (The Lunar Chronicles #3 and #4) by Marissa Meyer

13206828 13206900

I recently reread Cress and Winter because I love Crescent Moon and Captain Carswell Thorne. I don’t bother rereading Cinder or Scarlet because the action (and romance) isn’t as packed as the last half of the series.

More reasons why I love Cress and Winter are that this far in the series, we see everyone plan, work, and fight together. I live for the chapters where they’re trapped and all springing into action while maintaining their respective characters!

Ignite Me (Shatter Me #3) by Tahereh Mafi

Ignite Me is the third and (used to be the) last installment of Mafi’s Shatter Me series. I usually reread this book and the last few chapters of Unravel Me (Shatter Me #2) whenever I so much as see Dane Dehaan in a film because Aaron Warner Anderson is played by Dane Dehaan in my head.

I also reread this to get out of a reading slump because the writing style of this book is so easy to fall in love with. The characters are also a very exciting element to this because Juliette, Kenji, and Warner bring. me. back. to. life.

Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes

I know it’s 5 books but believe me when I say that this is worth the read and the rereadsSsSSs. I usually reread this when I have spare time on my hands or when the next book is nearing its release (every December).

I love this series because it takes a nice spin when it comes to war. While fighting for the throne to rule Mytica, this story also revolves around an elemental war where the characters from different kingdoms fight to get orbs that control literal elements! How cool is that! This story is exquisitely written and well paced so I never get tired of this series!

A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas

This series has been hyped up, received good reviews, received bad reviews, is loved by people, is hated by people. Comments and ratings of this series has been on both ends of the spectrum. For me, this is a really really really good series on Feyre’s story despite some shortcomings that I became aware of due to reading other people’s comments.

It may be a hit or miss for people, but this was a really good hit for me! I enjoyed each book and love them all so much. I understand that there are some issues regarding the writing of Sarah J. Maas (I’m aware of them now thanks to the book community) but I believe that this series still tells a good story nonetheless.

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

Yay to contemporaries! I’m a fantasy lover but this contemporary really stole my heart because it had a lot of dogs in it! As someone who has a weak spot for dogs, this book was one that I had to read and it did not disappoint.

This book had dogs, cute boys, and friendship drama that was so realistic that I was able to relate to the main character really well and I would not hesitate to reread this over and over and over and over.

What books do you reread? I’d love to hear them!

  1. I haven’t read any of those! I just posted about my favorite rereads… if I had to throw you one of them, it’d be The Passage Trilogy but I wouldn’t give any of them up unless I had to!
