Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the Broke and the Bookish and to wrap up the year of 2015, we’re rating the best books we’ve read this year!
We will give 5 each to make the top 10 books we have read this year (that were released in 2015.) We hope you enjoy!
5. P.S. I Still Love You By Jenny Han
Ahhh nothing is better than a heaping does of Peter Kavinsky 🙂
(If you haven’t checked already, Nikki and I did an intense book debate about this book. It’s still our favourite post to this day)
4. The Rose Society by Marie Lu
This book helped me out of my 3-month reading slump. It was intense, epic, and amazing! I expect nothing less from Marie Lu.
(I have a review on this coming reaaalllyyyy soon!)
3. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I have so much love for this book. The Grisha world is now one of my favourite worlds. AND I NEED THE SEQUEL RIGHT NOW :(((
2. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
This book is now my favourite contemporary book of all time. I know, it’s a huge statement. That’s because it’s that good.
1. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
I have no words. This book was just phenomenal.
5. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Really loved this series starter! The Selection meets Graceling in the best way possible. I’m super excited to read Glass Sword.
4. Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
From its epistolary form to its amazing audiobook, Illuminae has earned a rightful spot in my top 5. If you like interstellar wars and super computers that try to take over the universe, be sure to pick it up ASAP!
3. Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray
Paul Markov and Marguerite Caine have made an epic comeback in this universally adventurous sequel. I loved every page of this novel. Can’t wait for the third Firebird book!
2. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
When I look at this cover and remember my reading experience with it, I smile so big and feel happiness spread through my chest. This series was such a delight to read. I remember buying this on a whim and not regretting spending my money on it once I’ve finished it. This has all of my favorite genres–retellings, fantasy, and monarchial–rolled into one glorious and amazing novel that took me on a rollercoaster ride.
1. Frozen Tides by Morgan Rhodes
Morgan Rhodes released Frozen Tides just in time to make my Christmas super amazing! I was enchanted with every chapter that I lost track of time while reading. This is without a doubt one of my favorite series. Hope you guys take the time to read its glorious 4/6 books. Well done, Morgan Rhodes. I am so whipped.
That has been our Top Ten Tuesday! What are your top 2015 books? 🙂
