One Direction Book Tag: FOUR Edition

It’s about time they’ve done this tag because we love this band. Well, I [Nikki] love them, Kyra just takes immense delight.

N:

Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge – It’s the kind of love triangle where I honestly didn’t know who I wanted for Rachelle. So moved. So blessed. So grateful for this life that I live. Armand and Erec, why.

 Where Do Broken Hearts Go

Yeah, it took me some time but I figured out
How to fix up a heart that I let down

K:

William Herondale – I cannot even count the number of times he has proven himself worthy to me.

N:

Jonah Griggs – I swear I love this man. He is worthy. I am not.

3. 18

I wanna love like you made me feel when we were 18

(cutest puppy love story)

K: 

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare – I’m gonna take away the first 2 modifiers and say that this is a love story. Thank you.

N:

A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall – Lea and Gabe were just so cute. Cute like puppies.

4. Girl Almighty

Her light is as loud as as many ambulances
As it takes to save a savior

(a strong female protagonist)

K:

Tessa Gray – I imagine that it takes a lot of strength to be a SHAPESHIFTER

N:

Rachelle – I was about to put Cruel Beauty, but then I remembered this book and Rachelle has got to be, hands down, the bravest female heroine. Ever. Evereverever.

5. Fool’s Gold

And, yeah, I let you use me from the day that we first met
But I’m not done yet
Falling for your fool’s gold
And I knew that you turned it on for everyone you met
But I don’t regret
Falling for your fool’s gold

(a book you love but ended up hurting you… but you still love it)

K:

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare – You wouldn’t want to count the number of times Will, Jem, and Tessa broke my heart. <//////3

N:

Falling into Place by Amy Zhang – The ending hurt me so much. But this is one of my favorite contemporary books!

6. Night Changes

Does it ever drive you crazy
Just how fast the night changes?
Everything that you’ve ever dreamed of
Disappearing when you wake up

(best plot twist you weren’t expecting)

K:

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare – I honestly was not expecting this plot twist and it was the BOMB DOT COM

N:

All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven – Technically, this is the second (or maybe third, or fourth?) best plot twist since I’m trying to avoid pulling a KYRA and repeating the same book… over… and over… again…

7. No Control

I can’t contain this anymore
I’m all yours, I got no control, no control

(a book where you can really feel the tension)

K:

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare – Just thinking about the stakes and the tension in this book gives me a headache (in the best possible way)

N:

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover – The tension was so palpable I had to put the book down and leave for a few minutes (read as: hours)

8. Spaces

Spaces between us keep getting deeper
It’s harder to reach ya even though I try

(a book where the love story takes a wrong turn…)

K:

 The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare – I’m disregarding the fact that the question is asking for a book with a love story that took a wrong turn. This series has an awesome love story, so I am picking this. 🙂 🙂 🙂

N:

The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider – 

9. Stockholm Syndrome

Who’s this whisper telling me that I’m never gonna get away?

(a book that features Stockholm Syndrome)

K:

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare – In a hypothetical situation where Will Herondale kidnaps me, I’m pretty sure I’d develop Stockholm Syndrome

N:

Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick – I understand why it happens thanks to this book.

10. Clouds

I know you said that you don’t like it complicated
That we should try to keep it simple
But love is never ever simple

(a on-and-off/complicated relationship)

K:

 The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare – Sometimes I like to switch between loving Will and loving Jem. It’s really on and off, but I love them both.

N:

Confess by Colleen Hoover – It was so complicated but it was so good.

11. Change Your Ticket

So, you should probably stay here with me a couple more days
Come on let me change your ticket home

K:

 The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare – Tessa is a shape shifter and in the Shadowhunter society, it is considered taboo for her to be in a relationship with a Shadowhunter. That’s “long distance,” in a way… (Also, Will Herondale is in London and I am in Asia. That is also long distance)

N:

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins – Josh and Isla were separated for a rather significant portion of the book. Did their love make it?!

12. Illusion

Tell me you believe in love
It’s not an illusion

(a book that made you believe in love)

K:

Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare – This book made me believe na may forever.(that there is such a thing as forever)

N:

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith – I swear this book is so cute that I just can’t help but believe in love!!!

13. Act My Age

I won’t act my age, no, I won’t act my age
No, I’ll still feel the same around you

(a book character that does not act their age)

K:

William Herondale – If you read the short stories about James Herondale, you know how Will still acts the same. And it’s so endearing.

N:

Eadlyn Schreave – For someone who’s 18, she acts like she’s 8 dsflkjsdjfkljel

14. Once in a Lifetime

Once in a lifetime
you were mine

(the saddest breakup)

K:

Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler – I’ve never read this book. All I know is that they broke up. That sounds sad.

N:

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray – I swear I wanna say more to justify my choice but it includes spoilers…………. Pls read this book.
