Waiting on Wednesday is a fun way to show the books you’re highly anticipating and is a weekly meme hosted at Breaking the Spine. We decided to do it here too!!
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can’t pull it off alone…
A convict with a thirst for revenge.
A sharpshooter who can’t walk away from a wager.
A runaway with a privileged past.
A spy known as the Wraith.
A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.
A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.
Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz’s crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don’t kill each other first.
I absolutely adored Shadow and Bone and Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo, but I had a problem with Ruin and Rising. However, I am going to give Leigh another chance with this book! This is the first book in a spin-off duology of The Grisha Trilogy. I don’t know much about it, but all I know is that it is going to be epic. I got to chat with Leigh Bardugo for a bit during her book signing, and she said that there are going to be swoon-worthy boys. *fangirls* This book is going to be released on September 29, 2015 and is being published by Henry Holt and Company.
